Trondheim’ bridges

The bridges in Trondheim are operated by various operators. The Port of Trondheim disseminates information on opening hours on behalf of the operating operators, and assists in disseminating reported requests for bridge opening. All questions should be directed to those responsible for operations.

The Port of Trondheim has no operational responsibility for the bridges in the Channel and asks that all inquiries about this to be directed to those responsible for operations:

Technical issues

Nidelv Bridge

The electrification project of Trønder and Meråkerbanen has begun. As part of the project, Nidelv bridge will be closed in the period of June til August 2024.

Eastern passage will be open for smaller vessels in the given period.

Skansen bridge

An issue has been detected with the swing bridge at Skansen. Work is ongoing to resolve the problem, and the bridge cannot be opened until the issue is fixed. Pedestrians and cyclists can still cross the bridge.
