All traffic and access to the ISPS port facilities is regulated and controlled. An access certificate / approved documentation is required for personnel, vehicles and cargo to enter the port facility or on board the ship in accordance with port regulations.
ISPS-security
The ISPS Code (The International Ship and Port Facilities Security Code) was adopted on 12-12-2002 by the United Nations Maritime Organization IMO, and aims to protect vessels, crew and passengers in international traffic, against terrorist acts.
Port facilities that call at ships in international traffic must be ISPS-approved, i.e. delimited, fenced and controlled. All personnel that wish to enter the ISPS-terminal must have completed an ISPS course and show an approved access card.
